Informationen für private Haushalte nach § 18 Abs. 4 Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG).
Atendu verkauft ausschließlich an Unternehmen (B2B).
Altgeräte enthalten wertvolle Rohstoffe (u. a.

Information for private households pursuant to Section 18(4) of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).
Atendu sells to businesses only (B2B). However, the stick is a device that could, by its nature, also be used in private households – German WEEE law (ElektroG) treats such dual-use devices as household equipment. That is why Atendu is also registered as a B2C producer – and why we provide this information, in case a device does end up in a private household.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the device, its packaging or the accompanying documents means: at the end of its life, this device must not be disposed of with general household waste. Electrical and electronic equipment must be collected separately so that hazardous substances can be treated safely and raw materials can be recycled.
As a small mail-order business, Atendu itself is not subject to a statutory take-back obligation.
If you have questions about disposal, we are still happy to help: support@atendu.eu.
You are responsible for erasing any personal data stored on the device. On the Atendu stick there are two ways to do this: the reset button on the device erases the stored Wi-Fi credentials. The reset in the settings additionally removes the cloud pairing and all customisations – so before handing in a device, the settings reset is the way to go.
As a general rule: if an old device contains batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not permanently enclosed, they must be removed and disposed of separately before handing the device in – take particular care with lithium batteries, which pose a fire risk (do not damage them, tape off the terminals). Lamps that can be removed without destroying them must also be taken out before disposal.
Neither applies to the Atendu stick: neither the stick itself nor the included accessories contain any batteries, rechargeable batteries or removable lamps.
Old equipment contains valuable raw materials (including metals and rare earths), but also substances that can harm the environment and human health if disposed of incorrectly. By handing devices in at a collection point, you contribute to reuse and recycling.
Information on the extent to which the quantitative targets under Sections 10(3) and 22(1) ElektroG (collection, recycling and recovery rates) are being met in Germany is published annually by the German Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt):
